  • Alto Saxophones
    • Turned whole note rhythms into half note rhythms while using a constant air stream
      • Set-up legato articulation
    • Began reading, counting and playing lines 11-14 (Half note/rest rhythms)

  • Percussion - (Paige and Tyra had instruments; Ray'Niece switching to a CCS Instrument since she is not able to attain an instrument)
    • worked to establish an acceptable bounce stroke in each hand then in alternating strokes.

What to do
  • Students need to have instruments
  • Learn lines 1,2, and 4
  • Apply concepts to line 5,6,7 to achieve
    • Correct pitches/fingerings
    • Establish consistent steady tempo
    • Start each note with a "Ha-Too" articulation
    • Begin to establish proper tone quality
    • Establish consistent proper posture
    • Play four half notes in succession on each pitch with proper air stream and articulation
